ErazmusplusThe CitizenHeritage project is a project co-financed by the European Union's Erasmus + Program, project number 2020-1-BE02-KA203-074727.

Its purpose is to provide universities with a new understanding and opportunities for inclusion of representatives of the general public in the university curricula, in the process of teaching and learning. It will offer them a choice of good practices on how to benefit from the movement of knowledge inside and outside academia and its more effective use in civil society. The digital environment, as a result of building huge open access collections and the growing presence of online tools that actively engage and interact, generates new opportunities to further stimulate the creation and dissemination of knowledge in collaboration with citizens.

The project includes three universities (KU Leuven, National Technical University of Athens and Erasmus University Rotterdam), two aggregators of Europeana (Photoconsortium and European Fashion Heritage Association) and specialists from Web2Learn.

On May 26 and 27, 2021 Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski", Department of LISCP, with the assistance of NALISF, participated in a seminar on "History in Photos from Bulgaria", part of the CitizenHeritage project, funded by Erasmus +. A wide range of students worked enthusiastically to enrich the metadata of the digital collection of early Bulgarian photography, published by NALIS Foundation in Europeana.
