World Digital Library (WDL) is an international project initiated by the Library of Congress and UNESCO. As a result, a single portal grants free access to various significant primary sources from around the world. The main goals of this project are to support international and intercultural understanding, to increase the volume and variety of cultural content on the internet and to provide students, lecturers, scholars, specialists and all the users with texts and images.

We signed a contract for cooperation on May 15th 2012. We then took part in the preparation of 400 digital old printed books from the holdings of CL-BAS, configured the HTTP server and submitted 10 of those books for publishing on the WDL website.

D. Krastev presented NALISF to the annual WDL general partner meetings in Washington – in Nov 2011 and in Dec 2012.
