Emilia Zankina

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Emilia Zankina is the Dean of Temple University Rome since May 2020. Until then, she was Vice President of the American University in Bulgaria and taught Political science at the Department of Politics and European Studies there. She holds a PhD in International Affairs from the University of Pittsburgh (2010) and a Certificate in Advanced Russian and East European Studies from the same university (2005). Her research focuses on populism and political parties, gender and political representation, and public administration reform. She is an expert in Bulgarian and East European politics and is a recipient of numerous research grant awards. Click here to see a list of her key publications.
