Sofia Katsarska

Sophia Katsarska is a librarian specialist on library science and information technologies, who has over 30 years of experience in public and university libraries. She has held the position of library director at the AUB “Panitza” Library since 2008 till 2017. She graduated from the National Library Institute and received her Master’s degree in Scientific Information from Veliko Tarnovo University “SS. Cyril & Methodius.” She has been working on the international RESPOND project (Resource Sharing Project for Network Discovery), which was developed and accomplished with the cooperation of OCLC. The project’s goal is the creation of the Group AMICALCat catalogue, which unites the collections of the AMICAL consortium members and allows the libraries’ holdings representation in WorldCat.

Her articles on library collaboration, resource sharing, e-journals collection management, electronic document delivery systems, and so on, were published in the Annual Journal of the Bulgarian Information Consortium. 1
