NALIS System Administrator
Evgeni Dimitrov is an IT professional with more than 20 years of software design, development and maintenance experience. He worked in Sydney, Australia as a software engineer for both the Unisys Corporation (1999-2007) and for the J. P. Morgan bank (2008). As a software engineer he previously worked also in London, again for the Unisys Corporation (1995-1998). In Sofia, Bulgaria, he was an IT expert for the Biochim bank (1992-1995) as well as a research associate at the Institute of Mathematics of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (1978-1992). His main responsibility at NALIS are the systems for electronic journals – federated search system (Metalib) and link resolver (SFX) – as well as the digital assets management systems (DigiTool and Rosetta). His activity covers both system administration and development of related software. The latter includes an Interlibrary Loan Module – as an extension to the NALIS Union Catalogue system; submission applications to the digital assets management systems; output from the digital assets management systems in connection with Europeana; addition of new viewers to the digital assets management systems etc. Mr. Dimitrov was coordinator for the Bulgarian part of the EuropeanaPhotography project.
